Pure Romance Party!

I’m having a Pure Romance party with Lindsey Smith on the 14^th.  If anyone is interested in joining let me know so I can include you on the invite.  She’s an amazing consultant and goes over all the products in a fun yet tasteful way.  These parties are always a huge hit so don’t miss out.  Oh and feel free to bring a friend.  I figured why not start my birthday weekend off with a bang.  There will be some finger foods but nothing too heavy so you may want to eat dinner before.  The party will start at 7:30pm and Lindsay will begin her show at 8:00pm so please arrive no later than 8pm.  The earlier the better so you have time to mingle, eat, and sip on some yummy cocktails to help loosen everyone up.  For those who have never been please feel free to ask me any questions or check out her website at www.pureromancediva.com.  Need to order stuff but can’t come to the party?  You can always email her at lindseysmith@pureromance.com and just let her know that I’m your hostess.  Hope to see you all there.  Invites will be sent out in a few days.

Goodbye Long Hair

I’m pretty sure I’m chopping my hair off this weekend. The first three pics are from when I had my hair short before so more than likely it will be a mix of all three.  The last three pics show the color I’m looking at blending with a dark brown.  Katya is coming over Saturday to cut/color since she's no longer working at the salon now that she's nursing.  I'm so lucky to have such amazing friends!  What do ya'll think about the cut?

I first heard this on VH1's Love & Hip Hop Atlanta and while it may sound stupid to some if you knew the couple she was talking about you'd love it.  Stevie J is straight up Stuuuuupid!

Chill weekend.

First weekend since being back from Florida and I must say I miss the beach.  I love Austin but I really feel like I’m a beach baby at heart.  I planned on laying out this weekend but due to the weather most activities were indoors.  I still managed to have a decent time.  Saw a few friends, had dinner with Kendall, my mom and Mak on Saturday  and even was able to make it back in time so Makenna could see her brother.  They went fishing and then came back to the house to visit for a few.  I was even able to squeeze in going out for drinks with Rachel once they left.  That was exactly what I needed after that visit with Lamonte.  Here are some pics of Mak, Xavier, & Vanessa (Xavier’s mother).

 

Destin, Florida 2012

We’re back from our trip to Destin, Florida.  This second year was much more enjoyable than last year now that Makenna is older.  She had a blast at the beach.  Trying to get her to leave each day was a challenge.  It rained the majority of the time we were there but always allowed for some sunshine so we could get beach time in.  We did some snorkeling off the beach, rode wave runners, checked out Harbor Walk again, and tried out the Seablaster.  Nightlife was spent at the Cabana at our condo, AJ’s or at The Village Door.  Live music & wine at the Cabana was my favorite out of the three.   The last Saturday we were there we also finally got to meet Alexis, Jessica & Gwan.  Alexis is Makenna’s older sister.  It was great.  The two girls had so much fun swimming and playing with eachother.  Jessica and I already felt like we’d known eachother for years after all our convos but finally meeting in person was even better.  She’s super sweet and down to earth.  Her husband Gwan was hilarious and had all of us laughing.  All in all a great day spent with some pretty awesome people.  Jessie is expecting another baby so seeing her pregnant was so cute.  We definitely will have to visit more often and I’ve already let them know they’re welcome at our house anytime.  I’d have to say this trip was worth all the money and time taken off.  I did everything I intended on doing and made some great memories for not only myself but Makenna as well.
